Raisethewiperarmandturntheblade
assemblytoexposetheplasticlocking
clip.
Compresstheclipandslidethe
assemblydownward;thenliftitoffthe
arm.

ØHotwaxesappliedbyautomatic
carwashershavebeenknownto
affectthewiper'sabilitytoclean
windows.
ØTopreventdamagetothewiper
blades,don'tusegasoline,
kerosene,paintthinner,orother
solventsonornearthem.
Contaminationofeitherthewindshieldor
thebladeswithforeignmattercanreduce
wipereffectiveness.Commonsourcesare
insects,treesap,andhotwaxtreatments
usedbysomecommercialcarwashes.

CAUTION
Topreventdamagetothewindshield
letthewiperarmdowneasily,don't
letitslapdownonthewindshield.
Ifthebladesarenotwipingproperly,
cleanthewindowandbladeswithagood
cleanerormilddetergent;thenrinse
thoroughlywithcleanwater.Repeatif
necessary.

Holdtheendoftherubberandpull
untilthetabsarefreeofthemetal
support.
qReplacingWindshieldWiperBlades
Whenthewipersnolongercleanwell,the
bladesareprobablywornorcracked.
Replacethem.
CAUTION

Topreventdamagetothewiperarms
andothercomponents,don'ttryto
sweepthewiperarmbyhand.

Topreventdamagetothewiperarmblades
whenraisingboththedriverandpassenger
sidewiperarms,raisethedriversidewiper
armfirst.Conversely,whensettingdownthe
wiperarms,setthepassengersidewiperarm
downfirst.
