duringnormalbatteryoperation,couldigniteandcausethebatterytoexplode.An
explodingbatterycancauseseriousburnsandinjuries.
Donotjump-startafrozenbatteryoronewithalowfluidlevel:
Jump-startingafrozenbatteryoronewithalowfluidlevelisdangerous.Itmay
ruptureorexplode,causingseriousinjury.
Connectthenegativecabletoagoodgroundpointawayfromthebattery:
Connectingtheendofthesecondjumpercabletothenegative( )terminalofthe
dischargedbatteryisdangerous.
Asparkcouldcausethegasaroundthebatterytoexplodeandinjuresomeone.
Routethejumpercablesawayfrompartsthatwillbemoving:
Connectingajumpercablenearortomovingparts(coolingfans,belts)isdangerous.
Thecablecouldgetcaughtwhentheenginestartsandcauseseriousinjury.
CAUTION
Useonlya12Vboostersystem.Youcandamagea12Vstarter,ignitionsystem,and
otherelectricalpartsbeyondrepairwitha24Vpowersupply(two12Vbatteriesin
seriesora24Vmotorgeneratorset).

batterycover.
