The Rain Sensing system has protective features for the TILT/TELESCOPING STEERING COLUMN
wiper blades and arms. It will not operate under the This feature allows you to tilt the steering column

upwardordownward.Italsoallowsyoutolengthenor
shortenthesteeringcolumn.Thetilt/telescopingcontrol
handleislocatedbelowthesteeringwheelattheendof
thesteeringcolumn.

LowTemperatureWipeInhibit—TheRainSensing
featurewillnotoperatewhentheignitionisplacedin
the RUN position, the vehicle is stationary and the
outside temperature is below 32°F (0°C), unless the
wipercontrolonthemultifunctionleverismoved,the
vehiclespeedbecomesgreaterthan0mph(0km/h)or
theoutsidetemperaturerisesabovefreezing.

NeutralWipeInhibit—Therainsensingfeaturewill
not operate when the ignition is placed in the RUN
position, the transmission shift lever is in the NEU-
TRAL position and the vehicle speed is less than
5
mph (8 km/h), unless the wiper control on the
multifunction lever is moved or the shift lever is
movedoutoftheNEUTRALposition.
