UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL
RearWheelDrive(RWD)/AllWheelDrive(AWD)
Displays(BaseCluster)
gASCAP
Ifthevehiclediagnosticsystemdeterminesthatthefuel
OnvehiclesequippedwithaBaseInstrumentCluster,the     filler cap is loose, improperly installed, or damaged, a
odometer will display “2drivE” when the vehicle is in  “gASCAP”messagewilldisplayintheodometerdisplay
RearWheelDrive(RWD),and“4drivE”whenAllWheel     area. Tighten the fuel filler cap properly and press the
Drive(AWD)isactivated.
TRIPODOMETERbuttontoturnoffthemessage.Ifthe
problemcontinues,themessagewillappearthenexttime
thevehicleisstarted.
Iftheodometerdisplaysthe“tCASE”warningmessage
afterenginestartup,orduringdriving,theAWDsystem
isnotfunctioningproperlyandserviceisrequired.
Aloose,improperlyinstalled,ordamagedfuelfillercap
mayalsoturnontheMalfunctionIndicatorLight(MIL).
NOTE: VehiclesequippedwithElectronicVehicleInfor-
mation Center  (EVIC) will display  “ALL WHEEL  LotirE
DRIVE” and “REAR WHEELDRIVE” when the appro-  Whentheappropriatetirepressureislow,theodometer
priateconditionexists.TheEVICwilldisplay“SERVICE     displaywilltogglebetweenLoandtirEforthreecycles.
AWDSYSTEM”ifthesystemisnotfunctioningproperly
noFUSE
