Towing This Vehicle Behind Another Vehicle
Flatbedtowingisrecommended.DONOTtowanAWD
vehicle with the rear wheels on the ground unless the
rear driveshaft is removed and the transmission is in
NEUTRAL.
WARNING!
Fast spinning tires can be dangerous. Forces gener-
atedbyexcessivewheelspeedsmaycausedamage,or
even failure, of the axle and tires. A tire could
explodeandinjuresomeone.Donotspinyourvehi-
cle’s wheels faster than 30 mph (48 km/h) or for
longer than 30 seconds continuously without stop-
pingwhenyouarestuckanddonotletanyonenear
aspinningwheel,nomatterwhatthespeed.
Vehicles WITHOUT AWD may be towed (with rear
wheels on the ground) with the transmission in NEU-
TRALunderthefollowingconditions:
• The(24 distancetobetraveledmustnotexceed15miles
km).
TOWING A DISABLED VEHICLE

Thetowingspeedmustnotexceed30mph(48km/h).
Without The Ignition Key Fob
CAUTION!
Special care must be taken when the vehicle is towed
withtheignitionintheOFFposition.Theonlyapproved
method of towing without the ignition key is with a
flatbed truck. Proper towing equipment is necessary to
preventdamagetothevehicle.
Exceeding these towing limits may cause severe
transmissiondamage.Suchdamageisnotcoveredby
theNewVehicleLimitedWarranty.
