This indicator will turn on when the high beam
headlights are ON. Push the multifunction lever
awayfromthesteeringwheeltoswitchtheheadlightsto
highbeam.
The Vehicle Security Light flashes rapidly
when the Vehicle Security Alarm is arming,
andslowlywhentheVehicleSecurityAlarmis
armed.

The Shift Lever Indicator is self-contained within the
instrument cluster. It displays the gear position of the

This light will turn on briefly as a bulb check
whentheignitionswitchisplacedintheRUN
position.Thislightwillalsoturnonwhilethe
engineisrunningifthereisaproblemwiththe

placedintheRUNposition.Achimewillsoundif
thedriver’sseatbeltisunbuckledduringthebulbcheck.
The Seat Belt Reminder Light will flash or remain on
continuouslyifthedriver’sseatbeltremainsunbuckled
afterthebulbcheckorwhendriving.Referto“Occupant
Restraints” in “Things To Know Before Starting Your
Vehicle”forfurtherinformation.
ElectronicThrottleControl(ETC)system.
Ifthelightcomesonwhiletheengineisrunning,safely
bringthevehicletoacompletestopassoonaspossible,
place the shift lever in PARK, and cycle the ignition
through theACC and RUN positions. The light should
