display “SERVICE PARK ASSIST SYSTEM” and the

occurs after making sure the rear fascia/bumper is
clean and clear of snow, ice, mud, dirt, or other
obstruction,seeyourauthorizeddealerforservice.
Jackhammers,largetrucks,andothervibrationscould
affect the performance of the ParkSense Rear Park
Assistsystem.
WhenyouturnParkSenseoff,theinstrumentcluster
will display “PARK ASSIST DISABLED.” Further-
more, once you turn ParkSense off, it remains off
untilyouturnitonagain,evenifyoucycletheignition
key.

Clean the ParkSense sensors regularly, taking care
nottoscratchordamagethem.Thesensorsmustnot
becoveredwithice,snow,slush,mud,dirt,ordebris.
FailuretodosocanresultinParkSensenotworking
properly.TheParkSensesystemmightnotdetectan
obstaclebehindthefascia/bumper,oritcouldprovide
afalseindicationthatanobstacleisbehindthefascia/
bumper.

When you move the shift lever to the REVERSE
positionandParkSenseisturnedoff,theinstrument
clusterwilldisplay“PARKASSISTDISABLED”mes-
sageforaslongasthevehicleisinREVERSE.
