Ensurethattherearbumperisfreeofsnow,ice,mud,      • chimeIf a ParkSensewillsound௡ systemoncepermalfunctionignitioncycle.occurs,Inaddition,a  single
dirt and debris to keep the ParkSense௡ Rear Park
Assistsystemoperatingproperly.
theElectronicVehicleInformationCenter(EVIC)will
display “SERVICE PARK ASSIST SYSTEM” and the
LED in the ParkSense௡ switch will illuminate. If this
occurs after making sure the rear fascia/bumper is
clean and clear of snow, ice, mud, dirt, or other
obstruction,seeyourauthorizeddealerforservice.
Jackhammers,largetrucks,andothervibrationscould
affect the performance of the ParkSense௡ Rear Park
Assistsystem.
WhenyouturnParkSense௡off,theinstrumentcluster
will display “PARK ASSIST DISABLED.” Further-
more, once you turn ParkSense௡ off, it remains off
untilyouturnitonagain,evenifyoucycletheignition
key.

Clean the ParkSense௡ sensors regularly, taking care
nottoscratchordamagethem.Thesensorsmustnot
becoveredwithice,snow,slush,mud,dirt,ordebris.
FailuretodosocanresultinParkSense௡notworking
properly.TheParkSense௡systemmightnotdetectan
obstaclebehindthefascia/bumper,oritcouldprovide
afalseindicationthatanobstacleisbehindthefascia/
bumper.

When you move the shift lever to the REVERSE
positionandParkSense௡isturnedoff,theinstrument
clusterwilldisplay“PARKASSISTDISABLED”mes-
sageforaslongasthevehicleisinREVERSE.
