WARNING!
Unintended movement of a vehicle could injure
those in and near the vehicle. As with all vehicles,
you should never exit a vehicle while the engine is
running.Beforeexitingavehicle,youshouldalways
shiftthetransmissionintoPARK,removethekeyfob
fromtheignition,andapplytheparkingbrake.Once
the key fob is removed from the ignition, the shift
lever is locked in the PARK position, securing the
vehicle against unwanted movement. Furthermore,
youshouldneverleaveunattendedchildreninsidea
vehicle.
Key Ignition Park Interlock
ThisvehicleisequippedwithaKeyIgnitionParkInter-
lockwhichrequirestheshiftlevertobeplacedinPARK
prior to rotating the key fob to the LOCK position. The
keyfobcanonlyberemovedfromtheignitionwhenthe
ignition is in the LOCK position and once removed the
shiftleverislockedinPARK.

Brake/Transmission Shift Interlock System
ThisvehicleisequippedwithaBrakeTransmissionShift
Interlock System (BTSI) that holds the shift lever in the
PARKpositionwhentheignitionswitchisintheLOCK
position(OFFpositionwithKeylessGoâ„¢).Tomovethe
shiftleveroutofthePARKposition,theignitionswitch
must be turned to the ON or START position (engine
runningornot)andthebrakepedalmustbepressed.
Over-TemperatureMode
The transmission electronics constantly monitor the
transmissionoiltemperature.Ifthetransmissionexceeds
normal operating temperature, the transmission will
change the way it shifts to help control the condition.
