engage.Makesurethetongueis
latchedsecurelybypullingonit.

Toputtheretractorinthe
automaticlockingmode,graspthe
shoulderportionofthebeltandpull
downwarduntilallofthebeltis
pulledout.
Note:Theautomaticlockingmode
isavailableonthefrontpassenger
andrearoutboardseatsonly.The
rearcenterseatingpositionhasa
cinchtongue.RefertoInstalling
childsafetyseatsincinchtongue
combinationlapandshoulderbeltseatingpositions(rearcenter
positiononly)inthischapter.

Allowthebelttoretracttoremoveslack.Thebeltwillclickasit
retractstoindicateitisintheautomaticlockingmode.

Trytopullthebeltoutoftheretractortomakesuretheretractoris
intheautomaticlockingmode(youshouldnotbeabletopullmorebelt
out).Iftheretractorisnotlocked,unbucklethebeltandrepeatSteps5
and6.
