Understanding the gearshift positions of the 4–speed automatic
transmission
Thisvehicleisequippedwithanadaptivetransmissionshiftstrategy.
Adaptivetransmissionshiftstrategyofferstheoptimaltransmission
operationandshiftquality.Whenthevehicle’sbatteryhasbeen
disconnectedforanytypeofserviceorrepair,thetransmissionwillneed
torelearnthenormalshiftstrategyparameters,muchlikehavingtoreset
yourradiostationswhenyourvehiclebatteryhasbeendisconnected.
Theadaptivetransmissionshiftstrategyallowsthetransmissionto
relearntheseoperatingparameters.Thislearningprocesscouldtake
severaltransmissionupshiftsanddownshifts;duringthislearning
process,slightlyfirmershiftsmayoccur.Afterthislearningprocess,
normalshiftfeelandshiftschedulingwillresume.
