combinationlapandshoulderbelts.Thefrontandrearseatpassenger
outboardsafetybeltshavetwotypesoflockingmodesdescribedbelow:
Vehicle sensitive mode
Thevehiclesensitivemodeisthenormalretractormode,allowingfree
shoulderbeltlengthadjustmenttoyourmovementsandlockingin
responsetovehiclemovement.Forexample,ifthedriverbrakes
suddenlyorturnsacornersharply,orthevehiclereceivesanimpactof8
km/h(5mph)ormore,thecombinationsafetybeltswilllocktohelp
reduceforwardmovementofthedriverandpassengers.
Automatic locking mode
Inthismode,theshoulderbeltisautomaticallypre-locked.Thebeltwill
stillretracttoremoveanyslackintheshoulderbelt.
Theautomaticlockingmodeisnotavailableonthedriversafetybelt.
