REVERSE SENSING SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)
Thereversesensingsystem(RSS)soundsatonetowarnthedriverof
obstaclesneartherearbumperwhenthereversegearisselected.
Tohelpavoidpersonalinjury,pleasereadandunderstandthe
limitationsonthereversesensingsystemdescribedbelow.
Reversesensingisonlyanassistforsome(generallylargeandfixed)
objectswhenmovinginreverseonaflatsurfaceat“parkingspeeds”of
approximately6km/h(4mph)orless.Itisthedriversresponsibility
forensuringthattheirpathisclearwhenoperatingthevehicle.
Tohelpavoidpersonalinjury,alwaysusecautionwhenin
reverseandwhenusingthereversesensingsystem.
Thissystemisnotdesignedtopreventcontactwithsmallor
movingobjects.Thesystemisdesignedtoprovideawarningto
assistthedriverindetectinglargestationaryobjectstoavoiddamaging
thevehicle.Thesystemmaynotdetectsmallerobjects,particularly
thoseclosetotheground.
TheRSSwillassistthedriverindetectingcertainobjectswhilethe
vehicleslowlymovesinreverseatspeedslessthan6km/h(4mph).The
RSSisnoteffectiveatspeedsgreaterthan6km/h(4mph)andmaynot
detectcertainangularormovingobjects.Theweathermayalsoaffect
thefunctionofRSS.RSSmayhavereducedperformance,orbeactivated
ininclementweather.
