Your“CheckEngine”lightmaycomeon.Formoreinformationonthe
“CheckEngine”light,refertothe Instr umen tation chapter.
Fuel Filler Cap
Yourfueltankfillercaphasanindexeddesignwithaone-eighthturn
on/offfeature.
Whenfuelingyourvehicle:
1.
Turntheengineoff.
2.Carefullyturnthefillercapcounterclockwise1/8ofaturnuntilit
stops.
3.
4.
Pulltoremovethecapfromthefuelfillerpipe.
Toinstallthecap,alignthetabsonthecapwiththenotchesonthe
fillerpipe.
5.
Turnthefillercapclockwise1/8ofaturnuntilitstops.
Ifthe“ServiceEngineSoon/CheckEngine“indicatorcomesonandstays
onwhenyoustarttheengine,thefuelfillercapmaynotbeproperly
installed.Turnofftheengine,removethefuelfillercapandreinstallit
beingcarefultoalignthecapproperly.

Thefuelsystemmaybeunderpressure.Ifthefuelfillercapis
ventingvapororifyouhearahissingsound,waituntilitstops
beforecompletelyremovingthefuelfillercap.Otherwise,fuelmay
sprayoutandinjureyouorothers.
