splashedontheskin,promptlywashskinthoroughlywithsoapand
water.Consultaphysicianimmediatelyifyouexperienceanadverse
reaction.
Choosing the right fuel
UseonlyUNLEADEDFUEL.Theuseofleadedfuelisprohibitedbylaw
andcoulddamageyourvehicle.
Donotusegasolinescontainingmethanol.Itcandamagecriticalfuel
systemscomponents.
VehiclescertifiedtomeetCaliforniaemissionstandards(indicatedonthe
underhoodVehicleEmissionsControlInformationlabel)aredesignedto
operateonCaliforniacleaner-burning,low-sulfurgasolines.Ifyouhavea
California-certifiedvehicleandCaliforniacleaner—burninggasolineisnot
availablewhenyourefuel,yourengineshouldperformadequately.
However,theperformanceoftheemissioncontroldevicesandsystems
maybeadverselyaffected.InNewYorkandMassachusetts,whichhave
adoptedCalifornia’semissionstandardswithoutrequiringthesaleof
Californiacleaner-burninggasoline,repairstocorrecttheeffectsofusing
non-Californiafuelmaynotbecoveredbytheemissionswarranty.
Yourvehiclewasnotdesignedtousefuelorfueladditiveswithmetallic
compounds,includingmanganese-basedcompoundscontaining(MMT).
Repairstocorrecttheeffectsofusingafuelforwhichyourvehiclewas
notdesignedmaynotbecoveredbyyourwarranty.
