CustomerKeyProgramming
You can program new keys to the system if you have two
valid keys by doing the follow ing:
NOTE: Only keys that have been program med to the
vehicle electronics can be used to start the vehicle. Once
a Sentry Key has been program med to a vehicle, it can
not be program med to any other vehicle.
1. Insert the first valid key into the ignition and turn the
ignition On for at least 3 second s but no longer than 15
second s.
At the time of purchase, the original owner is provid ed
with a four digit PIN nu mber. This nu mber is requ ired
for dealer rep lacem ent of keys. Duplication of keys may
be perform ed at an authorized dealer or by using the
Custom er Key Program ming proced ure. This proced ure
consists of program ming a blank key to the vehicle
electronics. A blank key is one which has never been
program med.
Turn the ignition Off and rem ove the first key.

Insert the second valid key and switch the ignition On
within 15 second s. After ten second s a chim e will sou nd
and the Theft Alarm Light will begin to flash.
Turn the ignition Off and rem ove the second key.

Insert a blank Sentry Key into the ignition and switch
NOTE: WhenhavingtheSentryKeySystemserviced,
bringallvehiclekeystothedealer.
the ignition On within 60 second s. After 10 second s a
single chim e will sou nd . The Theft Alarm Light will stop
flashing, turn on for 3 second s; then turn off.
The new Sentry Key has been program med. Repeat this
process to program up to a total of 8 keys.
