The light in the instru ment cluster will flash rap idly
TRUNKLOCKANDRELEASE
for 15 second s. This show s that the system is arm ing. If
the light comes on but does not flash, the system is still
arm ed, but there is a problem in the tru nk circuit. After 15
second s the light will continu e to flash slow ly. This
show s that the system is fully arm ed.
Todisarmthesystem:
Unlock a front door using either the key or the Keyless
Entry Transm itter.
TamperAlert
If the horn sou nd s 3 times when you unlock a front door
using either a key or the Keyless Entry Transm itter, the
alarm had been triggered . Check the vehicle for tam per-
ing.
TrunkReleaseButton
Use the key or the Remote Keyless Entry Transm itter to
open the tru nk from outsid e the vehicle. From insid e the
car the tru nk lid can be released by depressing the Trunk
Release Button located on the instru ment panel to the left
of the steering wheel. The transm ission must be in Park
before the switch will operate. Vehicles with manu al
transm issions must be at zero mph for the switch to
work.
SecuritySystemManualOverride
The system will not arm if you lock the doors using the
manu al lock control.
