maintain a clear wind shield and provid e sufficient heat-
ing. If side wind ow fogging becom es a problem , increase
blow er speed . The compressor will rem ain on during
these cond itions.
RearSeatOutlets
These outlets are located und er the front seats and direct
warm air to the rear seat passengers. Air is directed
throu gh these outlets when you select either the Floor,
Bi-Level, or Mix modes.
NOTE:
Do not use the recircu lated air mode und er
these cond itions as wind ow fogging may occur.
OutsideAirIntake
Make sure that the air intake directly in front of the 4
wind shield is free of obstru ctions. Leaves, snow, etc.,
could block air flow into the vehicle.
HotWeatherAutomaticRecirculation
The system will autom atically recircu late the air insid e
the vehicle when the interior is very warm . This will
provid e maxim um cooling. The system will also occa-
sionally retu rn to REC on hot, hu mid or very hot, dry
days to maintain occupant comfort.
NOTE:
If you cannot get comfortable in the AUTO
mode by adjusting the comfort set point up or down
please refer to the Operating Tips chart (for ATC only) at
the end of this section for suggested control settings in
different weather cond itions.
SideWindowDemisters
Side wind ow demisters are located on the instru ment
panel. These non adjustable outlets direct air tow ard the
side wind ows in any mode excep t Panel or Panel Recir-
culation. The air is directed tow ard the area of the side
wind ows throu gh which you view the outsid e rearview
mirrors.
