UNDERSTANDINGYOURINSTRUMENTPANEL
FanControl
Use this  control  to  regu late the  amount  of air  forced
throu gh the  system  in any  mode  you select.  Turn  the
control  clockw ise to  increase  fan speed .
61,....to 89,90, Hi,  for autom atic  tem peratu re control.  You
can  select a  very  hot or  cold  comfort  setting  by  hold ing
the  comfort  control  until  it  reaches  its highest   or lowest
levels.
In  ambient  tem peratu res  below  21°C  (70°F), fan  opera-
tion  is delayed   when  the  engine  is first  started .  The fan
will autom  atically start  when  the engine  coolant  is warm
enou gh  to heat  the  air.  This  featu re can  be defeated   by
turning   the fan  control.
The  system  adjusts   to bring  the  interior   tem peratu re  to
the  desired  comfort  level.  All  comfort  settings  are  auto-
matic;  even  Hi and  Low.
NOTE:   You can  change  the display  from  U.S. to  metric
units   by  pressing    the   Mix  and   Panel   mode   buttons
simultaneou  sly or by  pressing  the English/  Metric  button
on the  overhead   console.
NOTE:
While   in   Autom atic   Temperatu  re   Control,
changing  the fan  control position   will switch  control back
into  manu al control.
AirConditioningButton
AUTOControl
Press  this  button   to turn   on the  air  cond itioning
compressor.   A snow  flake  sym bol  in  the  display
show s  that   the   compressor   is   on.  Com pressor
operation   is autom atic  when  you  press the  Auto  button.
Press  the  top  of the  button  to  turn  the  ATC system  On.
Press  the  lower  portion   of the  button  to  turn  the  entire
system  Off.
ComfortControl
The  compressor   can  operate   at  any  tem peratu re above
32°F (0°C).
Use  this  control  to  regu late the  comfort   insid e the  pas-
senger  compartm  ent. Press  the  top of  the switch  to  raise
the tem peratu re selection  and  the bottom  of the  switch  to
lower   it.  The  comfort   setting   range   is  from  Low,  60,
With the compressor   off and the  tem peratu re set at Lo, air
entering  the  vehicle  will  be slightly  warm er  than  the air
outsid e the  vehicle.
