INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DESCRIPTIONS
TemperatureGauge
The temperature gauge shows engine coolant tempera-
ture.Anyreadingbelowtheredareaofthegaugeshows
thattheenginecoolingsystemisoperatingproperly.The
removes this heat. You can also turn the Temperature
controltomaximumheat,theModecontroltoFloorand
theFancontroltoHigh.Thisallowstheheatercoretoact
asasupplementtotheradiatorandaidsinremovingheat
fromtheenginecoolingsystem.

turewhendrivinginhotweather,upmountaingrades,in
heavystopandgotraffic,orwhentowingatrailer.
This is a reminder that the Fuel Filler Door is
locatedontheleftsideofthevehicle.

If the pointer rises to the H (red) mark, the instrument
clusterwillsoundachime.Pulloverandstopthevehicle.
Idlethevehiclewiththeairconditionerturnedoffuntil
the pointer drops back into the normal range. If the
pointerremainsontheH(red)mark,turntheengineoff
immediatelyandcallforservice.

FuelGauge
When the ignition switch is in the ON position, the
pointerwillshowtheleveloffuelremaininginthefuel
tank.

Indicatesthevehiclespeedinmilesperhour(MPH)and
kilometersperhour(km/h).
Speedometer
There are steps that you can take to slow down an
impendingoverheatcondition.Ifyourairconditioningis
on,turnitoff.Theairconditioningsystemaddsheatto
the engine cooling system and turning off the A/C
