TheGVWRisthetotalallowableweightofyourvehicle. allowanceforthepresenceofadriver.
This includes driver, passengers, cargo, and tongue
weight.Thetotalloadmustbelimitedsothatyoudonot
exceed the GVWR. Refer to “Vehicle Loading/Vehicle
Certification Label” in “Starting and Operating” for
furtherinformation.
GrossAxleWeightRating(GAWR)
TheGAWRisthemaximumcapacityofthefrontandrear
axles. Distribute the load over the front and rear axles
evenly.Makesurethatyoudonotexceedeitherfrontor
rearGAWR.Referto“VehicleLoading/VehicleCertifica-
tion Label” in “Starting and Operating” for further
information.
GrossTrailerWeight(GTW)
TheGTWistheweightofthetrailerplustheweightofall
cargo, consumables and equipment (permanent or tem-
porary) loaded in or on the trailer in its Љloaded and
readyforoperationЉcondition.
TherecommendedwaytomeasureGTWistoputyour
fullyloadedtraileronavehiclescale.Theentireweight
ofthetrailermustbesupportedbythescale.
