panel.Theseoutletscanbeadjustedtodirectairflow.
Airisdirectedthroughthefloor,defrost,andside
windowdemistoutlets.Thissettingworksbestin
coldorsnowyconditionsthatrequireextraheatto
the windshield. This setting is good for maintaining
comfortwhilereducingmoistureonthewindshield.
NOTE:
The center instrument panel outlets can be
aimed so that they are directed toward the rear seat
passengersformaximumairflowtotherear.
Defrost
Bi-Level
Airisdirectedthroughthepanelandflooroutlets.

Air is directed through the windshield and side
windowdemistoutlets.Usethismodewithmaxi-
mum blower and temperature settings for best wind-
shieldandsidewindowdefrosting.
NOTE: Forallsettingsexceptfullcoldorfullhot,there
is a difference in temperature between the upper and
loweroutlets.Thewarmerairflowstotheflooroutlets.
This feature gives improved comfort during sunny but
coolconditions.
NOTE:
The air conditioning compressor operates in
Mix,Defrost,orablendofthesemodes,eveniftheAir
Conditioning (A/C) button is not pressed. This dehu-
midifies the air to help dry the windshield. To improve
fueleconomy,usethesemodesonlywhennecessary.
Floor
Air is directed through the floor outlets with a
smallamountflowingthroughthedefrostandside
windowdemistoutlets.
