THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING  YOUR VEHICLE
•
ForvehiclesnotequippedwiththeEVIC,performthe     systemactivatedwillcausethealarmtosound.Pressthe
followingprocedure:
UNLOCK button to deactivate  the Vehicle Security
Alarmsystem.

Press and hold the LOCK button on a programmed
FlashLightsWithLock
RKEtransmitterforatleastfourseconds,butnotlonger
than 10 seconds. Then, press and hold the UNLOCK
buttonwhilestillholdingtheLOCKbutton.
Thefeaturewillcausetheturnsignallightstoflashwhen
thedoorsarelockedorunlockedwiththeRKEtransmit-
ter.Thisfeaturecanbeturnedonorturnedoff.Tochange
thecurrentsetting,proceedasfollows:

pressingtheLOCK/UNLOCKbuttonsontheRKEtrans-
mitter with the ignition in the LOCK position, and the
keyremoved.
Releasebothbuttonsatthesametime.
Test the feature while outside of the  vehicle, by • ForInformationvehiclesCenterequipped(EVIC),withrefertheto“ElectronicElectronic  VehicleVehicle
Information Center (EVIC)/Personal Settings (Cus-
tomer-Programmable Features)” in “Understanding
YourInstrumentPanel”forfurtherinformation.
ForvehiclesnotequippedwiththeEVIC,performthe
followingprocedure:
