How to Use Remote Start
All of the following conditions must be met before the
enginewillremotestart:

• Donotstartorrunanengineinaclosedgarageor
confinedarea.ExhaustgascontainsCarbonMon- 2
oxide (CO) which is odorless and colorless. Car-
bonMonoxideispoisonousandcancauseserious
injuryordeathwheninhaled.
Keep Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitters
awayfromchildren.OperationoftheRemoteStart
System, windows, door locks or other controls
couldcauseseriousinjuryordeath.

Brakeswitchinactive(brakepedalnotpressed)
Ignitionkeyremovedfromignitionswitch

RKEPANICbuttonnotpressed
ToEnterRemoteStartMode
PressandreleasetheREMOTESTARTbutton
ontheRKEtransmittertwice,withinfivesec-
onds.Theparkinglightswillflashandthehorn
will chirp twice (if programmed). Then, the
engine will start and the vehicle will remain in the
RemoteStartmodefora15-minutecycle.
