JUMP-STARTING
WARNING!

started using a set of jumper cables and a battery in
another vehicle or by using a portable battery booster
pack.Jump-startingcanbedangerousifdoneimproperly
sopleasefollowtheproceduresinthissectioncarefully.
Aloosetireorjackthrownforwardinacollisionor
hard stop could endanger the occupants of the ve-
hicle.Alwaysstowthejackpartsandthesparetirein
theplacesprovided.

A loose tire thrown forward in a collision or hard

than12Voltsordamagetothebattery,startermotor,
alternatororelectricalsystemmayoccur.

Check the tire pressure as soon as possible. Correct
thetirepressureasrequired.
