Supplemental Seat-Mounted Side Airbags provide en-
hanced protection to help protect an occupant during a
side impact. The Supplemental Seat-Mounted Side Air-
bag is marked with an airbag label sewn into the out-
boardsideofthefrontseats.
SupplementalSeat-MountedSideAirbagLabel
Whentheairbagdeploys,itopenstheseambetweenthe
front and side of the seat’s trim cover. Each airbag
deploysindependently,thatisaleftsideimpactdeploys
theleftairbagonlyandaright-sideimpactdeploysonly
therightairbag.
