When this message is displayed there is a transmission
over-temperaturecondition.Whenthisconditionoccurs,
the “HOTOIL” message will be displayed in the odom-
eteralongwithachime.
NOTE:
When this message is displayed, bring the
vehicle to a stop and idle the engine in park until the
messageclears.Raisingtheidleoftheengineslightlywill
helpspeedupthecooling.
NOTE: If the instrument cluster is equipped with the
optional Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC),
then warnings such as ”Low Tire,” “Door Ajar” and
gASCAP
“Trunk Ajar” will display in the EVIC. (Refer to “Elec- Ifthevehiclediagnosticsystemdetectsaleakorchange
