unattended children in a vehicle is dangerous for a
number of reasons. A child or others could be seri-
ouslyorfatallyinjured.DonotleavetheKeyFobin
theignition.Achildcouldoperatepowerwindows,
othercontrols,ormovethevehicle.

For vehicles equipped with the Electronic Vehicle
Information Center (EVIC), the power window
switches, radio, power sunroof (if equipped), and
poweroutletswillremainactiveforupto10minutes
after the ignition switch is turned to the LOCK posi-
tion.Openingeitherfrontdoorwillcancelthisfeature.
The time for this feature is programmable. Refer to
“Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) — If
CAUTION!
An unlocked car is an invitation to thieves. Always
removeKeyFobfromtheignitionandlockalldoors
whenleavingthevehicleunattended.
