To Disarm the System
To disarm the Vehicle SecurityAlarm, you will need to
press the UNLOCK button on the RKE transmitter or
turntheignitionkeytotheONposition.Ifsomethinghas
triggeredtheVehicleSecurityAlarminyourabsence,the
hornwillsoundthreetimeswhenyouunlockthedoors.
Checkthevehiclefortampering.
ILLUMINATED ENTRY
Theinteriorlightscomeonwhenyouopenanydooror
use the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter to un-
lock any door. They will remain on for approximately

secondsafteralldoorsareclosedthenfadetooff.
Thelightsalsowillfadetooffifyouturnontheignition
afteryoucloseallthedoors.
The Vehicle SecurityAlarm is designed to protect your
vehicle; however, you can create conditions where the
Vehicle Security Alarm will arm unexpectedly. If you REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY (RKE)
remain in the vehicle and lock the doors with the RKE Thissystemallowsyoutolockorunlockthedoorsand
transmitter, once the Vehicle Security Alarm is armed liftgate,oractivatethepanicalarm,fromdistancesupto
(after16seconds),whenyoupullthedoorhandletoexit, approximately 66 ft (20 m) using a hand-held Key Fob
thealarmwillsound.Ifthisoccurs,presstheUNLOCK withRKEtransmitter.TheRKEtransmitterdoesnotneed
button on the RKE transmitter to disarm the Vehicle tobepointedatthevehicletoactivatethesystem.
