High Intensity Discharge Headlamps (HID) — If

Theheadlampsareatypeofhighvoltagedischargetube.
High voltage can remain in the circuit even with the
headlamp switch off and the key removed. Because of
this,youshouldnotattempttoserviceaheadlampbulb
yourself.Ifaheadlampbulbfails,takeyourvehicleto
anauthorizeddealerforservice.
NOTE: Numbers refer to commercial bulb types that
canbepurchasedfromyourauthorizeddealer.

Atransienthightensionoccursatthebulbsocketsof
HighIntensityDischarge(HID)headlampswhenthe
headlampswitchisturnedON.Itmaycauseserious
electricalshockorelectrocutionifnotservicedprop-
