disarm it, the Vehicle Security Alarm will turn off the
hornafterthreeminutes,turnoffallofthevisualsignals
after15minutes,andthentheVehicleSecurityAlarmwill
rearmitself.
VEHICLE SECURITY ALARM — IF EQUIPPED
ThisVehicleSecurityAlarmmonitorsthevehicledoors,
liftgate, liftgate flipper glass, and ignition for unautho-
rizedoperation.Whenthealarmisactivated,theVehicle
SecurityAlarm provides both audio and visual signals.
Thehornwillsound,theheadlights,parklampsand/or
turnsignalswillflashrepeatedlyforthreeminutes.Ifthe
disturbanceisstillpresent(driver’sdoor,passengerdoor,
otherdoors,ignition)afterthreeminutes,theheadlights,
park lamps and/or turn signals will flash for an addi-
tional15minutes.
To Set the Alarm
The alarm will set when you use the Remote Keyless
Entry(RKE)transmittertolockthedoorsandliftgate,or
whenyouusethepowerdoorlockswitchwhilethedoor
is open. After all the doors are locked and closed, the
VehicleSecurityLight(locatedintheinstrumentcluster)
willflashrapidlyforabout16secondstosignalthatthe
VehicleSecurityAlarmisarming.Duringthis16second
arming period, opening any door or the liftgate will
