Theanchorsatthecenterofthe
rearseataremuchfurtherapart
thanthesetsofloweranchorsfor
childseatinstallationatother
seatingpositions.SomeLATCH
equippedchildseatscanbeplaced
inthecenterpositionandwillreach
thenearestLATCHanchorswhich
are400mm(15.75in)apart,buta
childseatwithrigidLATCHattachmentscannotbeinstalledatthis
seatingposition.LATCHcompatiblechildseat(withattachmentsonbelt
webbing)canbeusedatthisseatingpositiononlyifthechildseat
instructionsstatethatthechildseatcanbeinstalledtoanchorsthatare
400
mm(15.75in)apart.Donotattachtwochildseatstothesame
LATCHanchor.
WARNING: Donotattachachildseattoanyloweranchors
usedforchildseatinstallationifanadjacentchildseatis
attachedtothatanchor.Inacrash,oneanchormaynotbe
strongenoughtoholdtwochildseatattachmentsandmay
break,causingseriousinjuryordeath.
Theloweranchorsforchildseat
installationarelocatedattherear
sectionoftherearseatbetweenthe
cushionandseatback.Tofindan
anchor,lookforthelocatorsymbol.
Eachloweranchorforchildseat
installationislocated2–3inches
belowthelocatorsymbols.
Followthechildseatmanufacturer’s
instructionstoproperlyinstallsafety
seatswithLATCHloweranchors
andLATCH-compatibleattachments.
