Indicatesthetemperatureofthe

enginecoolant.Atnormaloperating

temperature,theneedleremains

withinthenormalarea(thearea

betweenthe“H”and“C”).

Ifitenterstheredsection,the

engineisoverheating.Stopthevehicleassoonassafelypossible,

switchofftheengineimmediatelyandlettheenginecool.Referto

EnginecoolantintheMaintenanceandcarechapter.

WARNING: Neverremovethecoolantreservoircapwhilethe

engineisrunningorhot,thismayresultinseriousburns.

NOTE:Thisgaugeindicatesthetemperatureoftheenginecoolant,not

thecoolantlevel.Ifthecoolantisnotatitsproperlevelthegauge

indicationwillnotbeaccurate.
