fluidcontainer.Ifsprayedonthewindshield,enginecoolant
couldmakeitdifficulttoseethroughthewindshield.
Thecoolingsysteminyourvehicleisfilledwithgreen-coloredMazda
PremiumEngineCoolantmeetingMazdaSpecifications.Todetermine
yourvehicle’scoolanttype(color),checkyourcoolantreservoir.
Tomaintaintheintegrityofthecoolantandthecoolingsystem
andmaintainthewarrantyonthecoolingsystem:

AddMazdaPremiumEngineCoolantorthetypeofcoolant
originallyequippedinyourvehicle.Ifyouareunsurewhichtype
ofcoolantyourvehiclerequires,checkyourcoolantreservoiror
contactyourlocaldealer.

Donotadd/mixanorange-colored,extendedlifecoolantsuch
asMazdaSpecialityOrangeEngineCoolant,meetingMazda
specificationswiththefactory-filledcoolant.MixingMazda
SpecialityOrangeEngineCoolantoranyorange-coloredextendedlife
productwithyourfactoryfilledcoolantcanresultindegraded
corrosionprotection.

Alargeamountofwaterwithoutenginecoolantmaybeadded,incase
ofemergency,toreachavehicleservicelocation.Inthisinstance,the
coolingsystemmustbedrainedandrefilledwitha50/50mixtureof
enginecoolantanddistilledwaterassoonaspossible.Wateralone
(withoutenginecoolant)cancauseenginedamagefromcorrosion,
overheatingorfreezing.
Donotusealcohol,methanolorbrineoranyenginecoolants
mixedwithalcoholormethanolantifreeze(coolant).Alcohol
andotherliquidscancauseenginedamagefromoverheatingor
freezing.

Donotaddextrainhibitorsoradditivestothecoolant.These
canbeharmfulandcompromisethecorrosionprotectionoftheengine
coolant.
Donotmixwithrecycledcoolantunlessfroma
Mazda-approvedrecyclingprocess(seeUseofRecycledEngine
Coolantsection.
