Afterdrivingthroughmud,cleanoffresiduestucktorotating

driveshafts,halfshaftsandtires.Excessmudstuckontiresand

rotatingdriveshaftscausesanimbalancethatcoulddamagedrive

components.

NOTE:IfthetransaxlePowerTakeOffunitorrearaxlearesubmerged

inwater,theirfluidsshouldbecheckedandchanged,ifnecessary.

Waterintrusionintothetransaxlemaydamagethetransaxle.

NOTE:Iftherearaxleissubmergedinwater,therearaxlelubricant

shouldbecheckedandchanged,ifnecessary.Therearaxleisfilledwith

alubricantthatdoesnotnormallyrequirealubricantchangeforthelife

ofthevehicle.Rearaxlelubricantquantitiesshouldnotneedtobe

checkedunlessaleakissuspected.

Driving on hilly or sloping terrain

Whendrivingonahill,avoiddrivingcrosswiseorturningon

steepslopes.Youcouldlosetractionandslipsideways.Drive

straightup,straightdownoravoidthehillcompletely.Knowthe

conditionsontheothersideofahillbeforedrivingoverthe

crest.

Whenclimbingasteephill,startinalowergearratherthandownshifting

toalowergearfromahighergearoncetheascenthasstarted.This

reducesstrainontheengineandthepossibilityofstalling.

Whendescendingasteephill,avoidsuddenbraking.Shifttoa

lowergearwhenaddedenginebrakingisdesired.

Whenspeedcontrolisonandyouaredrivinguphill,yourvehiclespeed

maydropconsiderably,especiallyifyouarecarryingaheavyload.

Ifvehiclespeeddropsmorethan16km/h(10mph),thespeedcontrol

willcancelautomatically.Resumespeedwithacceleratorpedal.

Ifspeedcontrolcancelsafterclimbingthehill,resetspeedbypressing

andholdingtheSETACCELbutton(toresumespeedsover50km/h

[30

mph]).

Automatictransaxlesmayshiftfrequentlywhiledrivingupsteepgrades.

Eliminatefrequentshiftingbyshiftingoutof

(Drive).
