Maintenance and care
NOTE:Stateorlocalregulationsonvolatileorganiccompoundsmay
restricttheuseofmethanol,acommonwindshieldwasherantifreeze
additive.Washerfluidscontainingnon-methanolantifreezeagentsshould
beusedonlyiftheyprovidecoldweatherprotectionwithoutdamaging
thevehicle’spaintfinish,wiperbladesorwashersystem.
WARNING: Donotputwasherfluidintheenginecoolant
reservoir.Washerfluidplacedinthecoolingsystemmayharm
engineandcoolingsystemcomponents.

Washerfluidfortheliftgateissuppliedbythesamereservoirasthe
windshield.
ENGINE COOLANT
Checking engine coolant
Theconcentrationandlevelofenginecoolantshouldbecheckedatthe
mileageintervalslistedintheservicemaintenancesection.Thecoolant
concentrationshouldbemaintainedat50/50coolantandwater,which
equatestoafreezepointof-36°C(-34°F).Coolantconcentration
testingispossiblewithahydrometerorantifreezetester(suchasthe
RotundaBatteryandAntifreezeTester,014–R1060).Thelevelofcoolant
shouldbemaintainedatthe“coldfull”of“coldfillrange”levelinthe
coolantreservoir.Ifthelevelfallsbelow,addcoolantpertheinstructions
intheAddingEngineCoolantsection.
Yourvehiclewasfactory-filledwitha50/50enginecoolantandwater
concentration.Iftheconcentrationofcoolantfallsbelow40%orabove
60%,
