Closing the hood
Lower the hood slightlyuntil a stop is felt.
Then lift the hood (to release the locking strut)
before lowering fully.
Pull the release lever.
When the hood is approximately12 inches
(300
mm) from its closed position, push
down CAREFULLY, using the palms of both
hands positioned on the leading edge of the
hood on either side of the radiator grill(where
shown in illustration). Check that the locks are
FULLYengaged by attempting to lift the front
edge of the hood, which should be free from
all movement.
Lift the safetycatch and raise the hood.
