Warning lights
Some warning lights may also be
Parking brake/brake system -
RED.
accompanied by a message which will appear
in the message centre displayon the
instrument pack. (see ’Message centre’for
details).
Illuminates for 3 seconds as a
bulb checkwhen the starter switch is turned
to position ’II’and also illuminates when the
parking brake is applied and the starter switch
is in position ’II’.
The warning lights are colour coded as
follows:
The light should extinguish when the parking
brake is fully released or after the bulb checkif
the parking brake is off. If the light illuminates
whilst driving, a fault is indicated. Stop the
vehicle as soon as safetypermits and seek
qualified assistance before continuing.
GREEN&BLUElights indicate that a unit is
operating.
AMBER &YELLOWlights are cautions.
REDlights are warnings.
IMPORTANTINFORMATION
NOTE: If the vehicle has been standing for
some time, it may take up to 40 seconds
before the light extinguishes (in this case, ABS
and TCwarning lights will also be
illuminated).
REDwarning lights are particularly
important, illumination indicates that a
serious fault exists. If a red warning light
illuminates, always stop the vehicle and
reviewthe specific instructions relating to
that warning light contained in this
section of the manual.
