Snow chains
Wheelrims and tyres are matched to suit the
handling characteristics of the vehicle. For
safety, ALWAYS checkthat replacement tyres
comply with the manufacturer’s original
specification and that the load rating shown
on the side wall is the same as that of the
originalequipment. Contact your Land Rover
retailer for further information or assistance.
Land Rover approved snow chains are
designed for on-road use in extreme snow
conditions only, and are not recommended for
off-road use. ALWAYS observe the following
recommendations:

ONLYLand Rover approved chains may
be fitted. They must be fitted in axle sets
to the front wheels or to all four wheels.
•
Always adhere to the snow chain fitting
and retensioning instructions and the
speed limitations recommended for
varying road conditions. NEVER exceed 30
mph (50 km/h).
WARNING
ALWAYS use the same make and type of
radial-ply tyres front and back. DONOTuse
cross-ply or tubed tyres, and DONOT
interchange tyres from front to back -
vehicle handling could be adversely
affected.

To avoid tyre damage, do not drive over
curbs, potholes or obstructions in the road
and remove snow chains as soon as
highway conditions allow.
Do not replace wheels with any type other
than genuine Land Rover parts. Wheels and
tyres are designed for both off-road and
on-road use and have a very important
influence upon the correct operation of the
suspension systems and vehicle handling.
Alternative wheels, which do not meet
original equipment specifications, should
not be fitted.

chains, consult your Land Rover retailer.
CAUTION
DONOTfit unapproved snow chains as they
could damage your vehicle.
ALWAYS take care when fitting snow chains,
to avoid any possible damage to alloy
wheels.
