pulldownwarduntiltheentirebelt
isextracted.

Allowthebelttoretract.Asthebeltretracts,youwillhearaclicking
sound.Thisindicatesthesafetybeltisnowintheautomaticlocking
mode.
Howtodisengagetheautomaticlockingmode
Disconnectthecombinationlap/shoulderbeltandallowittoretract
completelytodisengagetheautomaticlockingmodeandactivatethe
vehiclesensitive(emergency)lockingmode.
Afteranyvehiclecollision,thesafetybeltsystemsatalloutboard
seatingpositions(exceptthedriverposition,whichdoesnot
havethisfeature)mustbecheckedbyaqualifiedtechniciantoverify
thattheautomaticlockingretractorfeatureforchildseatsisstill
functioningproperly.Inaddition,allseatbeltsshouldbecheckedfor
properfunction.
BELTANDRETRACTORASSEMBLYMUSTBEREPLACEDif
theseatbeltassemblyautomaticlockingretractorfeatureor
anyotherseatbeltfunctionisnotoperatingproperlywhenchecked
accordingtotheproceduresinWorkshopManual.Failuretoreplace
theBeltandRetractorassemblycouldincreasetheriskofinjuryin
collisions.
Safety belt pretensioner
Yourvehicleisequippedwithsafetybeltpretensionersatthedriverand
frontoutboardpassengerseatingpositions.
TheSeatIntegratedRestraints(SIR)seat(whichhasshoulderbelts
attachedtothecornersofthefrontseatback)isequippedwithabuckle
pretensioner.DoNOTplaceobjectsbetweentheseats,thiscould
interferewiththefunctioningofthepretensioner.FortheSuperCaband
