Important SRS precautions

TheSRSisdesignedtoworkwith

thesafetybelttohelpprotectthe

driverandrightfrontpassenger

fromcertainupperbodyinjuries.Air

bagsDONOTinflateslowly;thereis

ariskofinjuryfromadeployingair

bag.

Alloccupantsofthevehicle,includingthedriver,shouldalways

properlyweartheirsafetybelts,evenwhenanairbag(SRS)is

provided.

Alwaystransportchildren12yearsoldandunderintheback

seatifyourvehiclehasabackseat.Ifachildinarearfacing

infantseatmustbetransportedinfront,thepassengerairbagmustbe

turnedOFF.Thisisbecausethebackoftheinfantseatistoocloseto

theinflatingairbagandtheriskofafatalinjurytotheinfantwhenthe

airbaginflatesissubstantial.
