BoardDiagnosticsSystem(OBD-II)hasdetectedamalfunction.Referto
Onboarddiagnostics(OBD-II)intheMaintenanceandSpecifications
chapter.Ifthelightisblinking,enginemisfireisoccurringwhichcould
damageyourcatalyticconverter.Driveinamoderatefashion(avoid
heavyaccelerationanddeceleration)andhaveyourvehicleserviced
immediately.
Underenginemisfireconditions,excessiveexhausttemperatures
coulddamagethecatalyticconverter,thefuelsystem,interior
floorcoveringsorothervehiclecomponents,possiblycausingafire.
Checkfuelcap:Illuminateswhen
thefuelcapmaynotbeproperly
installed.Continueddrivingwith
thislightonmaycausetheService
enginesoonwarninglighttocome
on.RefertoFuelfillercapinthe
MaintenanceandSpecificationschapter.
Brakesystemwarninglight:To
confirmthebrakesystemwarning
lightisfunctional,itwill
momentarilyilluminatewhenthe
ignitionisturnedtotheONpositionwhentheengineisnotrunning,or
inapositionbetweenONandSTART,orbyapplyingtheparkingbrake
whentheignitionisturnedtotheONposition.Ifthebrakesystem
warninglightdoesnotilluminateatthistime,seekserviceimmediately
fromyourdealership.Illuminationafterreleasingtheparkingbrake
indicateslowbrakefluidlevelandthebrakesystemshouldbeinspected
immediatelybyyourservicingdealership.
