TheHomeLink௡UniversalTransceiver,locatedonthedriver’ svisor,
providesaconvenientwaytoreplaceuptothreehand-heldtransmitters
withasinglebuilt-indevice.Thisfeaturewilllearntheradiofrequency
codesofmostcurrenttransmitterstooperategaragedoors,entrygate
operators,securitysystems,entrydoorlocks,andhomeorofficelighting.
WhenprogrammingyourHomeLink௡UniversalTransceivertoa
garagedoororgate,besurethatpeopleandobjectsareoutof
thewaytopreventpotentialharmordamage.
DonotusetheHomeLink௡UniversalTransceiverwithanygaragedoor
openerthatlackssafetystopandreversefeaturesasrequiredbyU.S.
federalsafetystandards(thisincludesanygaragedooropenermodel
manufacturedbeforeApril1,1982).Agaragedoorwhichcannotdetect
anobject,signalingthedoortostopandreverse,doesnotmeetcurrent

securitypurposes,refertoProgramminginthissection.
Programming
DonotprogramtheHomeLink௡UniversalTransceiverwiththe
vehicleparkedinthegarage.
Note:Yourvehiclemayrequiretheignitionswitchtobeturnedtothe
ACCpositionforprogrammingand/oroperationoftheHomeLink௡.Itis
alsorecommendedthatanewbatterybeplacedinthehand-held
transmitterofthedevicebeingprogrammedtoHomeLink௡forquicker
trainingandaccuratetransmissionoftheradio-frequencysignal.
