WRECKER TOWING
Ifyouneedtohaveyourvehicletowed,contactaprofessionaltowing
serviceor,ifyouareamemberofaroadsideassistanceprogram,your
roadsideassistanceserviceprovider.
Fordrecommendsyourvehiclebetowedwithawheelliftorflatbed.Do
nottowwithaslingbelt.FordMotorCompanyhasnotapproveda
slingbelttowingprocedure.
Ifequippedwithairsuspension,theairsuspensioncontrolmustbe
turnedoff.
On4x2vehicles,itisacceptabletotowthevehiclewiththefrontwheels
ontheground(withoutdollies)andtherearwheelsofftheground.
On4x4vehicles,itisrecommendedthatyourvehiclebetowedwitha
wheelliftanddolliesorflatbedequipmentwithallthewheelsoffthe
ground.
IfyouaretowingaNASCARSpecialEditionF-150oraHarley-Davidson
F-150usingflatbedequipment,youmustplacetwo4X4boardsatthe
endoftheramptoallowforbumperclearance.
Ifthevehicleistowedbyothermeansorincorrectly,vehicle
damagemayoccur.
