Neverplaceyourarmovertheairbagmoduleasadeployingair
bagcanresultinseriousarmfracturesorotherinjuries.
Toproperlypositionyourselfawayfromtheairbag:

Moveyourseattotherearasfarasyoucanwhilestillreachingthe
pedalscomfortably.
•
Reclinetheseatslightlyoneortwodegreesfromtheuprightposition.
Donotputanythingonorovertheairbagmodule.Placing
objectsonorovertheairbaginflationareamaycausethose
objectstobepropelledbytheairbagintoyourfaceandtorsocausing
seriousinjury.
Donotattempttoservice,repair,ormodifytheairbag
supplementalrestraintsystemsoritsfuses.SeeyourFordor
LincolnMercurydealer.
Thefrontpassengerairbagisnotdesignedtoofferprotectionto
anoccupantinthecenterfrontseatingposition.
Modifyingoraddingequipmenttothefrontendofthevehicle
(includingframe,bumper,frontendbodystructureandtow
hooks)mayaffecttheperformanceoftheairbagsystem,increasing
theriskofinjury.Donotmodifythefrontendofthevehicle.
Additionalequipmentmayaffecttheperformanceoftheairbag
sensorsincreasingtheriskofinjury.PleaserefertotheBody
