released,haveyourbrakesystemservicedimmediately.)
Parking brake
Tosettheparkingbrake(1),press
theparkingbrakepedaldownuntil
thepedalstops.
BRAKE

TheBRAKEwarninglampwill
illuminateandwillremain
illuminateduntiltheparkingbrake
isreleased.
Torelease,pullthelever(2).
Alwayssettheparkingbrakefullyandmakesurethatthe
gearshiftissecurelylatchedinP(Park)(automatic
transmission)orin1(First)(manualtransmission).
STEERING
Topreventdamagetothepowersteeringsystem:
•
Neverholdthesteeringwheelatitsfurthestturningpoints(untilit
stops)formorethanafewsecondswhentheengineisrunning.
Donotoperatethevehiclewithalowpowersteeringpumpfluidlevel
(belowtheMINmarkonthereservoir).
•
Ifthepowersteeringsystembreaksdown(oriftheengineisturned
off),youcansteerthevehiclemanually,butittakesmoreeffort.
