communicationssystems-suchastwo-wayradios,telephonesand
theftalarms-thatareequippedwithradiotransmitters.Anysuch
equipmentinstalledinyourvehicleshouldcomplywithFCCorCRTC
regulationsandshouldbeinstalledonlybyaqualifiedservice
technician.
Mobilecommunicationssystemsmayharmtheoperationofyour
vehicle,particularlyiftheyarenotproperlydesignedforautomotive
useorarenotproperlyinstalled.Whenoperated,suchsystemsmay
causetheenginetostumbleorstallorcausethetransmissiontobe
damagedoroperateimproperly.Inaddition,suchsystemsmaybe
damagedortheirperformancemaybeaffectedbyoperatingyour
vehicle.(Citizensband[CB]transceivers,garagedooropenersand
othertransmitterswithoutputsoffivewattsorlesswillnotordinarily
affectyourvehicle’ soperation.)
