Thesafetybeltpretensionersatthefrontoutboardseatingpositionsare
designedtotightenthesafetybeltsfirmlyagainsttheoccupant’sbody
duringfrontalcollisionsandinsidecollisions,andinrolloverswhenthe
vehicleisequippedwiththeoptionalSafetyCanopysystem.This
maximizestheeffectivenessofthesafetybelts.Infrontalcollisions,the
safetybeltpretensionerscanbeactivatedaloneor,ifthecollisionisof
sufficientseverity,togetherwiththefrontairbags.

webbingtobepulledoutoftheretractorinagradualandcontrolled
mannerinresponsetotheoccupant’sforwardmomentum.Thishelps
