AdvanceTrac௡withRSCbuttonandiconfunctionality
TheAdvanceTrac௡withRSCsystemautomaticallyturnsoneachtime
theengineisstarted,evenifitwasturnedoffwhentheenginewaslast
shutdown.The“slidingcar”iconwhichislocatedwiththewarning
lightsintheinstrumentclusterwillilluminateduringbulbcheckatinitial
start-upandthengooff.Thistellsyouthatthesystemisnormaland
active.AllfunctionsoftheAdvanceTrac௡withRSC(RSC,ESC,Engine
TractionControl,andBrakeTractionControl)willbeactivatedatstart
up.Whenthesystemisleftactive,the“slidingcar”iconwillflashonly
whenanyofthecomponentsofthesystemareaffectingthevehicles
performance,otherwisethelightwillremainoff.Consequently,the
“slidingcar”iconwillnotbeilluminatedduringmostofyournormal
driving.
TheAdvanceTrac௡withRSCbutton,
locatedonthecenterstackofthe
instrumentpanel,allowsthedriver
tocontrolcertainfeaturesofthe
AdvanceTrac௡withRSCsystem
below25mph(40km/h).Ifthe
vehicleisbelow25mph(40km/h),momentarilypressingthe
AdvanceTrac௡withRSCbuttonwilldisableRSC,ESCandEngine
TractionControlandsteadilyilluminatethe“slidingcar”icon.Pressing
andholdingtheAdvanceTrac௡withRSCbuttonformorethanfive
secondswillfurtherdisablethebrakeportionoftheTractionControl
featureandthe“slidingcar”iconwillflashmomentarilyandthen
illuminatesteady.
Ifthevehicleisabove25mph(40km/h),momentarilypressingthe
AdvanceTrac௡withRSCbuttonwillsteadilyilluminatethe“slidingcar”
icon,however,theAdvanceTrac௡withRSCsystemwillremainenabled
untilthevehiclespeeddropsbelow25mph.Ifthevehiclespeed
decreasesbelow25mph(40km/h),thesystemwillbecomedeactivated,
butifthevehiclespeedsubsequentlyincreasestoabove25mph(40
km/h),thesystemwillagainbecomeactive.Ingeneral,thesystemwill
beactiveatalltimesthevehiclespeedisabove25mph(40km/h).
InR(Reverse),ABSandtheTractionControlfeaturewillcontinueto
function,howeverESCandRSCaredisabled.
AlltheseconditionsarenormalduringAdvanceTrac௡withRSC
operation.Refertothefollowingtable.
