Wheninflatingyourtires
Whenputtingairintoyourtires(suchasatagasstationorinyour
garage),theTirePressureMonitoringSystemmaynotrespond
immediatelytotheairaddedtoyourtires.Herearethedetails:

Thetirepressuresensorsmountedinyourwheelsupdatesyour
vehiclewithtirepressureinformationonlyonceeveryminute,
thereforeitmaytakeuptotwominutesofdrivingover20mph(32
km/h)forthelighttoturnOFFafteryouhavefilledyourtirestothe
recommendedtirepressure.

Ifyourvehiclehasbeenparkedforover30minutes,thesensorsgo
intoalowpowermodetoconservebatterylifeandthereforeonly
transmitaboutonceevery6hours.Ifyouinflateyourtiresunder
theseconditions,itmaytakeuptotwominutesofdrivingover20
mph(32km/h)forthelighttoturnOFFafteryouhavefilledyour
tirestotherecommendedtirepressure.
Forthesereasons,thelowtirepressurewarninglightisNOTa
substituteforusinganaccuratetiregaugewhencheckingandfilling
yourtires.
