lap/shoulderbeltstofitproperly,whichcouldincreasetheriskofserious
injuryinacrash.
Toimprovethefitofboththelapandshoulderbeltonchildrenwho
haveoutgrownchildsafetyseats,FordMotorCompanyrecommendsuse
ofabelt-positioningbooster.
Boosterseatspositionachildsothatsafetybeltsfitbetter.Theyliftthe
childupsothatthelapbeltrestslowacrossthehipsandtheknees
bendcomfortably.Boosterseatsmayalsomaketheshoulderbeltfit
betterandmorecomfortably.Trytokeepthebeltnearthemiddleofthe
shoulder.
Whenchildrenshoulduseboosterseats
Childrenneedtouseboosterseatsfromthetimetheyoutgrowthe
toddlerseatuntiltheyarebigenoughforthevehicleseatand
lap/shoulderbelttofitproperly.Generallythisiswhentheyweighabout
